Well hello there. We have a lot of catching up to do. Lets start off with the dreaded numbers from July 1st or 8th (can't remember which week it was):
Weight- 174.9
Chest- 38
Waist- 34
Hips- 42
I'm only up a couple of pounds and have luckily been maintaining around that 175 lb mark. Lets face it...I want to LOSE weight NOT maintain, though! So I am going to try to more consistently blog to hold myself accountable again. It worked once, lets see if I can make it work again. The biggest problem with this is...I'm BUSY! Finding time to workout is hard enough let alone finding time to blog about it. Plus, I have been trying to squeeze in some time for me to read actual books. I had forgotten how much I loved to read!
Anyways, on to the updates of what I have been up to over the past few months...
First of all, I DID run the Great Potato Half Marathon on May 17th. I did not beat my time from my first half, but was glad that I was able to finish another one. Got a time of 2:41:47!

I started working on speed work after that Half. I was shooting to get an under 30 minute 5K! I didn't make it this year, but will still work towards that for next year. I ran the Fit for Life 5K on July 12th and PR'd! Made it in 32:14!
Other than just logging a bunch of miles lately, I also started Jillian Michaels Body Revolution (which was why I actually weighed and measured myself at the beginning of this month ;) I made it through the first 2 weeks with only missing a few workouts and started the 3rd week this Monday. I am enjoying it so far and like having something other than running to get me moving.
Food (as usual) is where I am struggling the most! I have not come up with any kind of plan to follow yet. I am hoping I can get myself to at least start tracking my food in the Lose It app and maybe even get a picture of everything I eat so that I can post it on here to hold myself accountable. Only time will tell if I actually do any of that ;)
My workout plan for now is to run 5-6 miles on Tuesdays, do 30 minutes of speed work on the treadmill on Thursdays, run 8-10 miles on Saturdays, and keep up with Jillian Michaels Body Revolution throughout the week. It gets to be a lot to keep up with, though, so I am not going to be terribly strict with the DVD workouts. I DO need to stay on top of my running, though, because I have signed up for the Fit One Half that is September 20th!
And I can't leave out that I got a new dog on July 5th! Let me leave you with a picture of my Akita, Oreo.
