After much deliberation, I have decided to blog about my weightloss journey yet again. I really like the accountability of it and the ability to openly get some of the things on my mind out in writing. Even though I am NOT an eloquent writer, it IS freeing to journal about this process!
To be honest, I’ve been thinking about this for months now! 2018 was a bit of a hard year on me especially weight and health wise and so since January 2019, I have been working on losing weight again and contemplating about journaling my weightloss journey. I think I was a bit nervous about holding myself totally accountable, though. Like what if I don’t lose the weight? What if instead, I continue to gain weight? I took measurements, but I wasn’t ready to commit! Now that I’m ready to commit, I’ll share my differences so far this year.
My measurements from January:
Weight-206.6
Waist-37 inches
Hips-44 inches
And now my measurements today:
Weight-199.3
Waist-33 inches
Hips-42 inches
Thigh-23 inches
Bicep-13.5 inches

I know it’s not a BIG difference, but I am feeling better in my clothing already and I’m glad I’ve been losing and not gaining! Last year, I went from 185 to over 205!!! That was really hard on me! I try to always be conscientious about my health, but I just couldn’t seem to get control of my emotional eating at all! I continued to run, but it didn’t seem to make a big enough difference to help me even maintain. I know, I know...you can’t outrun a bad diet!! Well, I proved that. I ran 4 half marathons October 2018 and I gained a pound that month!!
Well, enough on my past mistakes. It is time for me to move forward and to get this weight back off! I’m running 4 half marathons again this October and I would really like to be back down to 180 or even 175 pounds by then! It is so much easier to run carrying less weight. I plan to blog my progress each Wednesday and maybe once more a week with my thoughts along the process.
So leave a comment of encouragement to help me along this journey of re-losing these 20 pounds and check back in for my progress next Wednesday! 😊
