Well, it was Monday when I began this post, but I got a little busy. Either way, it is time to report my weight again and I am happy to because the scale was my friend this week!
Weight - 174.1 (down 1.6!)
Shortly after weighing myself on Friday morning, I headed out on a backpacking trip with my hubby and 6 year old son. It was my son's first backpacking trip and he was so excited! I was so happy to be able to have grandparents close to watch my other 2 kids so that I could go along with him.
The hike was about 3.5 miles long with just over 1300 ft in elevation change and my son did an awesome job!

We took a break for a couple of hours when we hit the first lake. We snacked (I didn't worry one bit about my calorie intake this trip) and then fished! My son caught a couple of fish with his daddy! But I didn't have any luck (that day). ;)
We then headed up to the second of four lakes to camp. (We never did make it past the 2nd lake.) It was only about 1/2 mile in between the 2 lakes, but it was really steep! The view was fabulous, though, so it was well worth it!
The next morning we got up and had oatmeal for breakfast (and coffee for me!) Then we went fishing as far as we could make it around both ends of the 2nd lake. I ended up catching a couple of pretty good fish at one end, but the hubby had no luck :(
So we decided to head back down to the first lake where the fish were biting better. My hubby caught quite a few down there, but I killed it! I out fished my hubby by far on this trip! Sorry honey ;)
Saturday night we made a campfire and toasted a few marshmallows (which I may have had some of) ;) Then my husband tried to catch a few more fish to catch up to my count. He caught a few more, but wasn't happy with how little they were. We hiked out Sunday morning and stopped by a burger joint for a huge lunch. I felt no regrets because I burned a ton of calories with all the hiking I had done!
I did sneak a peak at the scale on Monday morning and I was down about 1/2 pound! So all of that hard hiking did a great job of counter balancing all of the junk food that I ate on this trip. I had such a great time and can't wait until I can go on another trip with my hubby! Hopefully it won't be too long before the whole family can go on these trips, too.
Have a great week!
