No, I'm not going to give you some kind of magic way to lose weight fast. (Unfortunately) I'm just going to let you know how easily the scale can fluctuate. My weight last Friday was 171.8. I had gone down 0.3 lbs for the week! This Friday morning, I stepped on the scale when I first got up (after peeing of course) and my weight was 173.3. I had gained 1.5 lbs over the week! EEK!! I went for my 5 mile run and decided to step on the scale again before I showered and my weight was 172.0. So that is how I lost 1.3 lbs in just over an hour!! There you have it, the proof is in the numbers! Running burns a lot of calories, true, but those darn scales fluctuate also. So don't put your self-worth into those numbers on your scale. That doesn't determine who you are!
Either number that I look at, though, I have gained weight over the last week. This came as no surprise to me because even though I had gotten back on track with my running, I had not gotten back on track with my eating. We had gone to the fair over the weekend and I didn't eat well all day. Then we had things going on a couple of different nights over the week which lead to fast dinners (either pasta or fast food). This week things aren't slowing down either. I hope I can make better choices, though.
Check out the awesome video my hubby put together of our trip to the fair-

Note- I only ate about 1/3 of the loaded fries shown at the end of the video ;)
