Last night I got an email from Lose It about a new badge that I had earned. They give you badges along the way as you accomplish things thru their site such as consistently recording your calories, losing 10 pounds, and consistently exercising. This is what the email said, "You have earned the On Fire badge! You have burned an amazing number of calories for 4 weeks in a row!"
I was so excited about this new badge because my favorite song to get me fired up on my runs is "This Girl is on Fire" by Alicia Keys. I had heard it on The Biggest Loser this last season when my girl Danni was watching her video of clips of herself throughout the season. I fell in love with the song right away and just had to have it!
I also had another great personal victory today. I went for my run this morning and finished day 2 of week 5 of the C25K program. It has you warm up for 5 minutes and than run for 8 minutes and than walk for 5 minutes and than run for 8 minutes again and finish up with a 5 minute cool down. I ran for 8 minutes straight! I have never run that long in my life! To some of you that may not sound like a very big deal, but it sure was to me! I have tried to do the C25K program before and have never made it past the 3rd week where it has you run for only up to 3 minutes at a time. In the 4th week it has you run for 5 minutes at a time and I have always talked myself out of being able to run for 5 minutes straight. I never believed that I could do it and so I never even tried! Well I have proven myself wrong by not only running 5 minutes straight, but now 8 minutes straight as well! I really do feel like I am on fire!
So what songs do you like to workout to? I am always looking for new workout music!
