My weight went up to 175.4 on the 6th. A gain of 1.7 lbs that week :( Then I was sick last Friday and did not weigh myself at all. Let me tell you, I cannot wait to weigh myself this Friday to see where I stand. I am really hoping the number is a lot better!
I took some time last week to step back and look at the big picture. Even with my weight gains last month, I have still lost a total of 16-17 lbs since the beginning of March. That is in only 6 months! I have also lost a total of 17 inches in that time. I have gone from not being able to run more than 3 minutes at a time to running for 2 hours straight! I am now consistently running 5 miles and weekly upping my miles working towards the half marathon 13.1 miles! I have also increased my running pace from about a 12 min/mile to closer to an 11 min/mile!
These are all huge accomplishments for me in just 6 months! These are accomplishments that I do not want to overlook! These are accomplishments I do not want to lose!
So after looking at the big picture, I had to take a look at all the little pieces that made up that big picture. How did I accomplish all those things? I counted every calorie! I ran 3 days a week! I did strength training DVDs 2-3 days a week in between my runs! I ate more fruits, veggies, and lean proteins and less carbs, sweets, and fats! I drank more water and less sodas!
So starting last Thursday, I have counted every calorie and I have exercised daily since Saturday:
Saturday I ran for 2 hours.
Sunday I worked my arms and abs for 30 mins.
Monday I did a 1 hr strength workout DVD.
Tuesday I ran for 1 hr.
Wednesday I did a 1 hr strength workout DVD.
This is my journey and I am not going to get stopped by a little set back of some weight gain over the Summer. I am jumping right back in where I left off. It is time to lose those last 25-30 lbs for good!
