If you haven't read Race Recap #1, you should do that first.
After finishing the race, I was handed my medal and my hubby came up behind me and congratulated me! My legs were really sore, but I was on a bit of a runner's high! I was so happy! I was so proud of myself! I was so excited! I was...

I really just wanted some food! ;)
We made our way over to the food tables and I grabbed a banana and chocolate milk. They also had chili and bread, but that didn't sound so great to me :( After drinking a lot of water and eating the healthy food, I made my way over to get a beer! :)
Then we noticed that they had times posted up. We made our way over to check out my official time. 2 Hours 32 minutes and 5.4 seconds! I came in 506 out of 716. Not too bad for my first time running.
I had walked/ran a half marathon with a friend 2 years ago and I had beat that time by 40 minutes!
We then decided to head back to the hotel because I was cooling off and I really wanted a shower! Once we made it back to the hotel, I stretched my legs out really good, showered, and then made my way down to the hot tub. You can not imagine how great a hot tub feels after all that running! It was amazing!
Then we went to check out of the hotel and grab some lunch. We went to Polo Rey and shared a steak nacho. YUM! Then I wanted to stop by a running shop to buy a couple of 13.1 stickers for our vehicles. While I was there, I also looked at compression sleeves and socks. I decided to pick up the compression socks. The bright pink ones! I will need to try them out this weekend.

Running a half marathon has got to be one of my greatest accomplishments! I was so afraid that I would give up during my training. I was so afraid that I would injure myself. I was even afraid that the race itself wouldn't be a good experience. I was completely wrong! I proved myself wrong time after time. It was all a great experience and one I am looking forward to doing again and again! So now what? What is next for me?
