184.4 is the number that I stared at on the scale this morning. I have gained 0.8 pounds since last Friday. It made me second guess every single thing that I have done over the past week.
Did I not exercise enough? Well Zumba was canceled last night, but I at least went for a walk instead. I definitely did not burn as many calories walking, though. On the other hand, I did the whole hour of my Pure Burn DVD on Monday, though. (I usually do the 20 minute version twice.)
Did I eat too many calories (especially those empty calories)? I kept track of everything that I ate and did not go over my daily calorie budget. To be completely honest, though, I ate a lot of less healthy things this week. We had steaks a couple nights and pizza for a couple of dinners as well as a couple glasses of wine throughout the week.
Could I have made better choices? Of course! But I am human and will slip up some aong the way and that is why this is a journey. A journey to learn from and grow from.
I made some good choices over the past week and some not so good choices, but what I am going to focus on is my next choice. I can't go back and change last week, but I can move forward and choose to make as many good choices this week as I can.
That being said, though, I head out of town at noon today for the weekend for a church retreat where I will have no control over the food options that will be offered at the conference center. I just plan to choose the best option available and watch my portions as well as drinking a lot of water. Keeping my water cup with me at all times! I have also packed my running gear so that I can still get my run in on Saturday (hopefully).
Have a great weekend everyone and lets work on making those good food choices.
